In winter Charlotte Pass Village is only accessible by over snow transport (Snowcat) from Perisher. This 45 minute scenic snowcat trip to Charlotte Pass gives a sense of adventure to staying at Australia’s highest alpine village. As you cannot leave your car at Perisher overnight, the easiest way to get to Perisher is to park at Bullocks Flat (20 min drive from Jindabyne) and catch the Skitube (a small train) to Perisher.
The regular oversnow service leaves from the Perisher Valley Ski Tube terminal and needs to be booked in advance. This service will take you to the front door of Arlberg.
For more information on transport times and to make your snowcat booking please visit the Charlotte Pass website.
